Native to South America, this rarely seen Calathea has distinctive ornamental leaves with white stripes which appear hand painted.  Calathea add bold tropical colour to your houseplant collection.

The Calathea genus contains some of the most recognisable houseplants which can also be identified under the Geoppertia genus. These plants can be found natively across the tropical rainforests of South America.

Calathea are part of the Marantaceae family which are known for their ability to move their leaves depending on available light. This is known as nastic movement. Calathea are a great pet friendly houseplant option.
